Sheryl Baker

Sheryl Baker has been teaching, performing and judging Appalachian Clogging for 33 years.  She is the owner of River City Dance, River City Cloggers, Clogging Premier and Clogging Xtreme Competition teams.  She has taught workshops and judged competitions across the United States and Canada.  She has danced at Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge, TN. for 6 seasons, and performed on “The Old Midwest Barn Dance” cable TV show for 2 years.  She also has training in Jazz as she competed with the “Larkin Ladies” for 2 years.

She has coached many National Champion Soloists and Duets receiving individual overall titles awards and Gold Medals at the AAU Junior Olympics and NCHC and CCA National Clogging Championships of America.  She was the recipient of the “Glen Hill Pioneer Award” in 2006 recognized for her contributions to the clogging community in choreography, teaching, and spirit.  Sheryl was also inducted into the Clogging Hall of Fame in 2013.  Sheryl’s teaching style at her studio in Lindstrom, MN, reflects her positive energy, her inclusiveness of all ages, shapes, sizes and uniqueness of her dancers and has graciously supported her student's passion and love of dance. 

 Alyssa Keller

Alyssa Keller has been dancing since the age of 2 years old.  She has had the privilege of training under the direction of Larkin Dance Studio.  Larkin Dance Studio is recognized worldwide for their excellence in training professional dancers in styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap and hip hop.  Alyssa has also had the honor of training with professionals such as Trey Barber, Twitch and Allison Holker, The kinjaz, Martha Nichols (Greatest Showman dancer/actress), Travis Wall, Anthony Morigerato and Ricci Milan. Alyssa was the recipient of tap scholarships for her execution and enthusiasm throughout her years of training. Alyssa went on to teach jazz, tap and hip hop at Larkin for 2 years. She also coached the Moundsview Middle School and High School Dance Line and Kick Teams. Alyssa is the daughter of National Clogging Instructor, Sheryl Baker. She competed in her first clogging competition at the age of 1 year old. She is a member of the Clogging Premier Seniors/Clogging Xtreme Seniors. Alyssa has won many regional Acapella and Traditional titles and 3 National Acapella titles at the CCA National Championships. Alyssa was honored with the Margie Hoover Award for Clogging Excellence in 2015 at World of Clogging recognizing her positive influence and leadership in the clogging community. She has continued her passion of dance by running her own recreational and competitive dance program at River City Dance.  She has been honored with a Judge’s Pick Award, Best Tap Sounds Award, and won 1^st, 2^nd and 5^th Overall Dances at Starz Dance Competition in 2022. Alyssa’s choreography and intense training she graciously gives her students led to one of them winning the Overall Dancer Award at Starz Competition 2022.  She is excited to share her knowledge of dance and clogging through teaching workshops and judging competitions.
