2024 tcc SCHOLARSHIP & sTIPEND Recipients

BOBBI BOYCE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $1,500

    SOPHIE LASKOWSKI

She has been clogging since she was 10 years old and has been a member of the TCC for 3 years. She clogs with Footlights Dance Studio, under the direction of John Pryor. Sophie is currently a senior at Flower Mound High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society and Math Honor Society. She enjoys working part-time at the community activity center and being a member of the Junior Leadership of Flower Mound program. She will be a freshman at Oklahoma State this fall where she will be studying kinesiology with the goal of becoming a physical therapist to help heal and support others.

RICK FLORY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $1,500

   ALLISON BARTON

She has been a member of the TCC for 11 years. She started clogging when she was 8 years old for the late Lola Beaty and was invited to join Collective Sound Cloggers a few years later. She has served as an assistant clogging instructor in a kids’ clogging class and enjoys assistant teaching at Rally. She is currently in her 3rd year at Baylor University where she is a University Scholars major concentrating in Biology with minors in Spanish and Medical Humanities. She is a member of Baylor’s pre-health honor society Alpha Epsilon Delta, the Physician Assistant Society, and is a founding member of Baylor’s Student Organ Donation Advocates Chapter.

Moeller disablility SCHOLARSHIP - $1,500

   ELIZABETH "IZZIE" TRIPLETT

She has been a member of the TCC for 7 years and dances with the Yellow Rose Cloggers under the directorship of Rhonda Butzke. She is a senior at Dayton High School where she is a member of National Honor Society; Science, English, and Technical National Honor Societies; the Dayton Dazzlers drill team; and the Mighty Bronco marching and concert band. She also works as a lifeguard at Baytown Parks and as a receptionist at Dayton Academy of Dance. She is an early graduate, meaning she’s graduating from high school a year early and beginning college at age 17, because she wants to get a jump on her future goals. Lizzie will be pursuing a college degree in Business Management and Economics and wants to get her realtor’s license when she turns 18.
