2025 tcc SCHOLARSHIP & sTIPEND Recipients

BOBBI BOYCE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $1,500

    LAUREN PEPPER

she began clogging when she was 7 years old, She has been a member of the TCC for 9 years and is also a member of Yellow Rose Cloggers. She is a sophomore at Stephen F. Austin State University where she is pursuing a degree in nursing. At school, Lauren is a member of the Student Nursing Association, made the Dean’s List for the School of Sciences and Mathematics, volunteers at the annual Homecoming 5k, and helps raise funds for the Dancers Against Cancer program. She is one hard-working young lady! Congratulations Lauren!

RICK FLORY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $1,500

   KEONA ELLIS

She is a freshman at Northwest Vista College where she is pursuing a degree in Mass Communication. She also serves as the photography program leader for Kendall County 4-H. In addition to being a student and volunteer, Keona is the sole clogging instructor at Lonestar Collective Dance! She is an active participant in the TCC’s Texas Leadership and Development Youth Program and performed with America’s Clogging All-Stars in the 2025 Alamo Bowl Halftime Performance. Congratulations Keona on all of these achievements!

Moeller disablility SCHOLARSHIP - $1,500

   ANNA COCHRAN

She has been a member of the TCC for 10 years and dances with Yellow Rose Cloggers. She is a senior at Tomball Memorial High School and enjoys being a Summer League swim coach and GirlScout. Anna plans to pursue a degree in sports medicine to help others. This goal comes from her own experiences, and she understands the importance of listening to people and making them feel validated when it comes to pain and medical symptoms. For this young TCC member, clogging has always been a place where she feels at home because it’s an activity where everyone comes to laugh and be with friends. Congratulations Anna!

TCC EDUCATION STIPEND - $250

    LIBBI SMITH

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education, with minors in Dance and Speech and Hearing Therapy, as well as a master’s degree in Special Education with certification as an Educational Diagnostician. She has 17 years’ experience working as a Deaf Education and Special Education teacher and is currently pursuing a certification in Deaf Blindness from Texas Tech University.  In addition to teaching, Libbi is passionate about dance! She began dancing at age 5, and later began clogging after seeing a performance by the Rhythm Rockers. She became a Certified Clogging Instructor in 2007 and has taught workshops in Texas, the US, and Canada.

Libbi is actively involved in the Texas clogging community! She has held various positions within the TCC including North Central VP and Step-in-Time Editor and is the current director of Cloghoppers.  Congratulations Libbi Smith!
